Conor McGregor jumped into the cage at Bellator 187 to celebrate with his teammate Charlie Ward after his victory over John Redmond and in the process had a heated confrontation with the referee.
As Ward handily dispatched his opponent The Notorious one leaped into the octagon. After giving his teammate a well-deserved pat on the back he mad beeline for referee Marc Goddard and had to be retrained.
It should be pointed out Goddard and UFC’s franchise fighter have a storied history with one another when the referee threw the Irishman out during UFC Gdansk

Although it’s unknown what was said between the two it seems like McGregor wasn’t too pleased with Goddard’s reaction to his presence in the octagon and wanted to give him a piece of his mind.
It could also be possible he wanted to get at him for chucking him out of the arena during the Andre Fili-Artem Lobov bout in UFC Gandsk.
